How is it administered?

Diabetes Insipidus: Start 0.1 mg tid, max 1.2 mg/day. Nocturnal Enuresis: Start 0.2 mg 1 hour before bedtime, max 0.6 mg. Fluid restriction is essential.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity; Type IIB or platelet-type von Willebrand disease; hyponatremia; severe liver disease; nephrosis; cardiac/renal insufficiency; congestive heart failure; polydipsia; sodium-losing states.

Warnings and precautions

Risk of water intoxication and hyponatremia; fluid intake must be restricted. Use caution in patients with coronary artery insufficiency or cystic fibrosis. Contains lactose.
