Contraindications
Hypersensitivity; untreated subclinical or overt thyrotoxicosis; acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, or pancarditis; uncorrected adrenal insufficiency; pregnancy with hyperthyroidism.
Warnings and precautions
Narrow therapeutic index. Not for obesity/weight loss. Risk of cardiac toxicity (arrhythmias, ischemia) especially in elderly/cardiac patients. May precipitate adrenal crisis.
