Prior to first use, Humalog preparations must be stored in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. They should not be frozen or exposed to excessive heat or sunlight. Cartridges, vials, and prefilled pens that are in current use, should be stored at room temperature (below 30°C and away from direct heat and light) and discarded after 28 days.
