What is NITROJECT used for?
NITROJECT® (nitroglycerin injection) is indicated for: • control of blood pressure in perioperative hypertension, i.e., hypertension associated with surgical procedures, especially cardiovascular procedures (hypertension seen during intratracheal intubation, anesthesia, skin incision, sternotomy, cardiac bypass) and in the immediate post-surgical period; • control of congestive heart failure in the setting of acute myocardial infarction; • treatment of angina pectoris in patients who have not responded to conventional antianginal agents; • induction of controlled hypotension during surgery.
