What is ERTAPENEM FOR INJECTION used for?
Ertapenem for Injection (ertapenem sodium) is indicated for the treatment of patients with moderate to severe infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms including complicated intra-abdominal infections, complicated skin and skin-structure infections (including diabetic foot infections), community-acquired pneumonia, complicated urinary tract infections including pyelonephritis, and acute pelvic infections.
