What is TARO-IMIQUIMOD PUMP used for?
Taro-Imiquimod is indicated in immunocompetent adults for the treatment of biopsy-confirmed, primary superficial basal cell carcinoma (sBCC) with a maximum tumour diameter of 2.0 cm, located on the trunk (excluding anogenital skin), neck, or extremities (excluding hands and feet), otherwise amenable to simple surgical excision, in patients who choose not to have surgery and are willing to undergo regular follow-up. It is also indicated for the treatment of clinically typical, nonhyperkeratotic, nonhypertrophic actinic keratosis on the face or balding scalp, and for the treatment of external genital and perianal warts/condyloma acuminata.
