What is DOCETAXEL INJECTION used for?
Docetaxel Injection in combination with doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide is indicated for the adjuvant treatment of patients with operable node-positive breast cancer. It is also indicated for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, in combination with Xeloda® (capecitabine) for advanced or metastatic breast cancer after failure of prior anthracycline containing chemotherapy, for locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (monotherapy or with platinum derivatives), for metastatic carcinoma of the ovary after first-line or subsequent chemotherapy failure, in combination with prednisone or prednisolone for androgen-independent (hormone-refractory) metastatic prostate cancer, and as monotherapy for recurrent and/or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck after failure of a previous chemotherapy regimen.
