What is FRAXIPARINE used for?
FRAXIPARINE® (nadroparin calcium) is indicated for the prophylaxis of thromboembolic disorders, such as those associated with general surgery and orthopedic surgery (particularly deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism), and in high-risk medical patients (respiratory failure and/or respiratory infection and/or cardiac failure), immobilised due to acute illness or hospitalised in an intensive care unit. It is also indicated for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis, prevention of clotting during hemodialysis, and treatment of unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction. FRAXIPARINE® FORTE (nadroparin calcium) is indicated for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis.
