How is it administered?
Adults: 0.5 to 6 g daily in divided doses every 8-12h. Pediatrics: 25-50 mg/kg q12h (neonates) or 30-50 mg/kg q8h (infants/children). Administer IV or IM. Adjust dose in renal impairment.
