What is FLUVIRAL used for?

How is it administered?
Single 0.5 mL IM injection. Children 6 months to <9 years not previously vaccinated should receive a second 0.5 mL dose after at least 4 weeks. Shake vial before use.

How is it stored and handled?
Store in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). Do not freeze. Store in the original package in order to protect from light.
How is it supplied?

Contraindications
Known history of hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine or following a previous dose of any influenza vaccine produced in eggs.
Warnings and precautions
For IM use only; do not inject intravascularly. Appropriate medical treatment for anaphylaxis must be available. Caution in patients with GBS within 6 weeks of prior influenza vaccine.
