What is JANUMET XR used for?
JANUMET® and JANUMET® XR are indicated for use as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus inadequately controlled on metformin or in patients already being treated with the combination of sitagliptin and metformin. Add-on combination: JANUMET® and JANUMET® XR are indicated for use as a triple combination therapy in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control, in combination with: sulfonylurea, premixed or long/intermediate acting insulin, pioglitazone when the existing dual therapy with metformin, along with diet and exercise, does not provide adequate glycemic control.
