What is JAMP VANCOMYCIN used for?
JAMP Vancomycin (Vancomycin Hydrochloride Capsules) is indicated for: • The treatment of infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the following diseases and specific conditions: o staphylococcal enterocolitis, and o antibiotic associated pseudomembranous colitis produced by Clostridium difficile Parental administration of vancomycin is not effective for the indicated conditions; therefore JAMP Vancomycin must be given orally. JAMP Vancomycin is not effective by the oral route for the treatment of other types of infection.
