What is TARO-CLARITHROMYCIN used for?
Taro-Clarithromycin (Clarithromycin for Oral Suspension, USP) is indicated for the treatment of infections due to susceptible organisms, in the following conditions: Upper Respiratory Tract (Pharyngitis caused by S. pyogenes, Acute otitis media caused by H. influenzae, M. catarrhalis, or S. pneumoniae); Lower Respiratory Tract (Mild to moderate community-acquired pneumonia caused by S. pneumoniae, C. pneumoniae, or M. pneumoniae); Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections (i.e., impetigo and cellulitis) caused by S. aureus or S. pyogenes; Mycobacterial Infections (Disseminated mycobacterial infections due to M. avium and M. intracellulare).
