What is TEVA-TELMISARTAN HCTZ used for?
TEVA-TELMISARTAN HCTZ (80 mg telmisartan/12.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide) is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension in patients in whom combination therapy with telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide is considered appropriate. TEVA-TELMISARTAN HCTZ (80 mg telmisartan/25 mg hydrochlorothiazide) is indicated for the treatment of patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by TEVA-TELMISARTAN HCTZ 80 mg /12.5 mg or patients who have been previously stabilised on telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide given separately. These fixed-dose combinations are not indicated as initial therapy.
