What is ABILIFY used for?
ABILIFY (aripiprazole) is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders in adults, manic or mixed episodes in bipolar I disorder in adults (as acute monotherapy or cotherapy with lithium or divalproex sodium), and as an adjunct to antidepressants for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in adult patients who had an inadequate response to prior antidepressant treatments. It improves both positive and negative symptoms in schizophrenia and is more effective than placebo in maintaining clinical improvement for up to 26 weeks in adults.
