How is it administered?
Recommended starting dose: 60 mg once daily in the morning. May increase to 120 mg once daily. To minimize headache, can titrate starting with 30 mg for 2-4 days. Swallow whole or as halves.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nitrates; acute circulatory failure (shock); postural hypotension; myocardial insufficiency due to obstruction; increased intracranial pressure; severe anemia; use with PDE5 inhibitors.

Not recommended for acute MI or CHF. Abrupt withdrawal may aggravate angina; reduce dose gradually. Caution in severe cerebral arteriosclerosis, severe hypotension, or volume depletion.
