FLUCONAZOLE IN SODIUM CHLORIDE INJECTION USP (fluconazole) is indicated for the treatment of: Oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis; serious systemic candidal infections, including urinary tract infection, peritonitis, and pneumonia; Cryptococcal meningitis; and for the prevention of the recurrence of cryptococcal meningitis in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is also indicated to decrease the incidence of candidiasis in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive cytotoxic chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
