How is it administered?
20 mg twice daily as an adjunct following scaling and root planing for up to 9 months. Administer at least one hour prior to morning and evening meals with adequate fluid.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines; myasthenia gravis. Should not be used during tooth development (second half of pregnancy, infancy, and childhood).
Warnings and precautions
May cause permanent tooth discoloration and enamel hypoplasia if used during tooth development. Photosensitivity/sunburn reaction may occur. Potential for overgrowth of opportunistic microorganisms.
