What is ENBREL used for?
ENBREL is indicated for the treatment of moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in adults, reducing signs and symptoms of moderately to severely active polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) in patients aged 4 to 17 years, reducing signs and symptoms and inhibiting the progression of structural damage of active arthritis and improving physical function in adult patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA), reducing signs and symptoms of active ankylosing spondylitis (AS), treatment of adult patients with chronic moderate to severe plaque psoriasis (PsO) who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy, and treatment of pediatric patients ages 4 to 17 years with chronic severe PsO who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

ENBREL single-use prefilled syringes are available in 25 mg* (0.51 mL of a 50 mg/mL solution of etanercept, minimum deliverable volume of 0.47 mL) and 50 mg (0.98 mL of a 50 mg/mL solution of etanercept, minimum deliverable volume of 0.94 mL) dosage strength. ENBREL SureClick® autoinjectors are available in 50 mg (0.98 mL of a 50 mg/mL solution of etanercept, minimum deliverable volume of 0.94 mL) dosage strength. ENBREL 25 mg* and 50 mg single-use prefilled syringes and ENBREL 50 mg single-use prefilled SureClick® autoinjectors are supplied in cartons containing four syringes or autoinjectors with 27-gauge, ½ inch needles. A single syringe or autoinjector replacement carton is available if needed. ENBREL multiple-use vial is supplied in a carton containing four dose trays. Each dose tray contains one 25 mg vial of etanercept, one diluent syringe (1 mL Sterile Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP, containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol), one 27-gauge ½ inch needle, one vial adapter, and one plunger. Each carton contains four “Mixing Date:” stickers. A single dose replacement tray is available, if needed.
