What is ALLEGRA 24 HOUR used for?

ALLEGRA® (fexofenadine hydrochloride) is indicated for: the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal (ALLEGRA® 12 Hour, ALLEGRA® 24 Hour) and perennial (ALLEGRA® 12 Hour) allergic rhinitis, in adults and children 12 years of age and over. How is it administered?

Adults/Children 12+: 60 mg every 12 hours or 120 mg once daily with water. Renal impairment: start with 60 mg once daily. Do not take with fruit juices.

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to fexofenadine hydrochloride or to any ingredients in the formulation or component of the container.

Warnings and precautions

Do not take with fruit juices. Oral bioavailability may be reduced in patients with surgically manipulated or inflamed intestinal tissue. Potential for increased exposure in elderly/renal patients.
