Contraindications
Hepatic/renal dysfunction; gallbladder disease; hypersensitivity; pregnancy/lactation; Type I hyperlipoproteinemia; concomitant use with repaglinide.
Warnings and precautions
Risk of severe myopathy and rhabdomyolysis, especially if used with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. May increase cholesterol excretion leading to gallstones (cholelithiasis).
