What is OXYTOCIN INJECTION USP used for?
Oxytocin Injection USP is indicated for induction of labour in patients with a medical indication for the initiation of labour, for stimulation or reinforcement of labour as in selected cases of uterine inertia, and as adjunctive therapy in the management of incomplete or inevitable abortion. Postpartum, it is used to produce uterine contractions during the third stage of labour and to control postpartum bleeding and hemorrhage.
