How is it administered?
Psychotic disorders: 4-16 mg 2-4 times daily. Nausea/vomiting: 8-16 mg daily in divided doses. Use lowest effective dose. Max 24 mg/day for ambulatory patients.

Hypersensitivity; circulatory collapse; comatose/depressed states; blood dyscrasias; bone marrow depression; liver damage; renal insufficiency; pheochromocytoma; severe cardiovascular disorders.

Increased mortality in elderly with dementia. Risk of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS), Tardive Dyskinesia, QT prolongation, and blood dyscrasias. May impair driving/machinery operation.
