How is it administered?
Migraine: 1 mg IM/SC at onset, may repeat in 30-60 mins (max 3 mg/day). IV: 1 mg at onset, may repeat in 1 hour (max 2 mg/attack). Weekly max: 6 mg. Cluster: 0.5 mg slow IV.

How is it stored and handled?

Contraindications
Potent CYP 3A4 inhibitors; hypersensitivity to ergot alkaloids; peripheral arterial disease; coronary/ischemic heart disease; uncontrolled hypertension; severe hepatic/renal impairment; pregnancy.
Warnings and precautions
Serious peripheral ischemia with CYP 3A4 inhibitors. Risk of myocardial ischemia/infarction. Fibrotic complications with prolonged use. Not for chronic daily administration.
