60 mg (two 30 mg capsules) orally every 4 hours for 21 consecutive days, starting within 4 days of SAH diagnosis. Reduce to 30 mg every 4 hours for hepatic insufficiency.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to nimodipine; concomitant use with phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine, or rifampin as they significantly reduce efficacy.

DO NOT INJECT capsule contents (fatalities reported). Caution in cerebral edema or raised intracranial pressure. Monitor blood pressure; hypotension may occur.
