What is ACH-TELMISARTAN used for?
Treatment of Essential Hypertension: ACH-Telmisartan (telmisartan) is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension in adults. ACH-Telmisartan may be used alone or in combination with thiazide diuretics. Risk Reduction of Cardiovascular Morbidity: ACH-Telmisartan is indicated to reduce the risk of non-fatal stroke or non-fatal myocardial infarction in adults 55 years or older at high risk of developing major cardiovascular events who cannot tolerate an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI).
