What is AURO-SIMVASTATIN used for?
Auro-Simvastatin is indicated in adults as an adjunct to diet for reduction of risk of total mortality, myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke in patients with high risk of coronary events, slowing progression of coronary atherosclerosis, and reduction of elevated total cholesterol (total-C) and Low-Density Lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B (apo B), and triglycerides (TG) levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (Type IIa) or combined (mixed) hyperlipidemia (Type IIb). In pediatric patients (10 - <18 years of age) with Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia, it is indicated as an adjunct to diet to reduce total-C, LDL-C, TG, and Apo B levels.
