What is ACH-ALENDRONATE used for?
ACH-Alendronate is indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, including increasing bone mass and preventing hip and spine fractures. It is also indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in men, increasing bone mass and reducing fracture incidence. Additionally, it is used for the treatment and prevention of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis in men and women receiving 7.5 mg or greater prednisone daily with low bone mineral density.
