How is it administered?

Adults: 500 mg q12h; severe infections 875 mg q12h or 500 mg q8h. Children (>=3 months): 20-45 mg/kg/day based on amoxicillin component. Administer at start of meals to minimize GI intolerance.

Store at room temperature (15°C - 30°C). Protect from light and moisture.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, or any ingredient; suspected/confirmed infectious mononucleosis; history of amoxicillin/clavulanate-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.

Warnings and precautions

Serious/fatal hypersensitivity (anaphylaxis) possible. Clostridium difficile-associated disease (CDAD) reported. Use caution in hepatic dysfunction. Risk of crystalluria; maintain fluid intake.
