What is NOVO-OFLOXACIN used for?
NOVO-OFLOXACIN (ofloxacin) Tablets are indicated for the treatment of adults with various infections. These include lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis), urinary tract infections (uncomplicated cystitis and complicated urinary tract infections), prostatitis, sexually transmitted diseases (acute, uncomplicated urethral and cervical gonorrhea, cervicitis/urethritis due to Chlamydia trachomatis or mixed infections, and acute pelvic inflammatory disease of mild to moderate severity), and skin and skin structure infections (uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections).

How is it administered?
200 mg to 400 mg orally every 12 hours depending on infection type. Adjust dose for renal impairment (CrCl <= 50 mL/min). Max 400 mg/day in severe cirrhosis.
