What is MANNITOL INJECTION, USP used for?
Mannitol Injection, USP is indicated for the following therapeutic uses: • in the prophylaxis of oliguria in surgical procedures and traumatic conditions involving renal insult; • in the adjuvant treatment of oliguria or anuria; • the promotion of diuresis in the supportive treatment of edema and ascites; • the reduction of elevated cerebrospinal fluid pressure; • in the adjunctive treatment in certain drug intoxications.
