How is it administered?
Administer 5-10 mins before intercourse. Titrate to lowest effective dose (250, 500, or 1000 mcg). Max 2 doses per 24 hours. Urinate before use; insert applicator into urethra to release pellet.

Hypersensitivity to alprostadil; abnormal penile anatomy; sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or risks for priapism; sexual activity inadvisable; intercourse with a pregnant woman without a condom.

Risk of symptomatic hypotension and syncope; avoid driving/hazardous tasks for 1 hour after use. Risk of priapism (erections >6 hours). Caution in patients with ARDS or bleeding disorders.
