What is CEFAZOLIN FOR INJECTION, USP used for?
Cefazolin for Injection, USP is indicated in the treatment of various infections as listed, when caused by susceptible strains of the specified organisms. These include respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, septicemia, and endocarditis. It is also indicated for perioperative prophylaxis in certain surgical procedures to reduce the incidence of postoperative infections.
