What is INFUFER used for?
Infufer (Iron Dextran Injection USP) is indicated for treatment of patients with documented iron deficiency in whom oral administration is unsatisfactory or impossible. It may be administered by intramuscular injection, or by intravenous infusion. Intravenous infusion must be confined to the hospital treatment of patients for whom the intramuscular route or other forms of therapy are inappropriate or are not available.
