What is LAMISIL used for?
LAMISIL (terbinafine hydrochloride) is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum and yeasts of the genus Candida (e.g. C. albicans), as well as Malassezia furfur. LAMISIL tablets are indicated for the treatment of onychomycosis, and may be considered for severe tineal skin infections unresponsive to topical treatment. LAMISIL cream is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes and yeast infections, and pityriasis (tinea) versicolor.
