What is DIPRIVAN 1% used for?
DIPRIVAN 1% (propofol) is indicated for induction and maintenance of general anaesthesia, conscious sedation for surgical and diagnostic procedures, and sedation during intensive care. Individually titrated. Induction: ~40mg every 10s (adults <55). Maintenance: 0.1-0.2 mg/kg/min. ICU sedation: 0.005-0.050 mg/kg/min (max 4 mg/kg/h). Use aseptic technique.

Hypersensitivity to propofol, eggs, egg products, soybeans, or soy products. Contraindicated for sedation of children 18 years or younger receiving intensive care.
