How is it administered?
Pharmacy bulk package. Dosage based on metabolic requirements. Adults: 1.0 to 1.5 g/kg/day. Infants: 2 to 3 g/kg/day. Administer via central vein for hypertonic mixtures.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity; severe liver failure or hepatic coma; congenital amino acid metabolism abnormality. TRAVASOL E: acute renal failure (without RRT), hyperkalemia, hypercalcaemia, hypernatremia.
Warnings and precautions
Risk of pulmonary vascular precipitates. Monitor for infection/sepsis. Avoid air embolism. Monitor for hyperammonemia and refeeding syndrome. Protect from light for neonates/children <2 years.
