What is CYTOSAR used for?
Cytosar (cytarabine) is indicated primarily for induction and maintenance of remission in acute leukemia in both adults and children. It has been found useful in the treatment of acute myelocytic leukemia, chronic myelocytic leukemia (blast phase), acute lymphocytic leukemia and erythroleukemia. Cytosar may be used alone or in combination with other antineoplastic agents; the best results are obtained with combination therapy.
