What is CHLOROMYCETIN SUCCINATE INJECTION used for?

Chloramphenicol is used to treat serious infections caused by susceptible strains of Salmonella species (with systemic involvement), H. influenzae (meningeal infections), Rickettsia, psittacosis in children, and various Gram-negative bacteria causing bacteremia, meningitis, or other serious Gram-negative infections.
