How is it administered?
Adults: 250 mg to 1 g every 6-12 hours depending on infection. Perioperative: 1 g 30-60 mins pre-op. Pediatrics: 25-50 mg/kg/day (up to 100 mg/kg/day for severe) in 3-4 divided doses.
