Hypersensitivity to bupivacaine/amide anesthetics; intravenous regional anesthesia (Bier Block); obstetric paracervical block; severe shock; heart block; inflammation/sepsis at injection site.

Risk of dose-related toxicity, cardiac arrest, and death. 0.75% concentration not for obstetrical anesthesia. Ensure immediate availability of resuscitative equipment and drugs.
