How is it administered?

0.2 mL/kg (0.1 mmol/kg) by intravenous injection. Rate: 10 mL/min or bolus 10 mL/15 sec. Max single dose 20 mL. Follow with 5 mL saline flush.

Chronic severe kidney insufficiency (GFR <30 mL/min/1.73m2); acute kidney injury; neonates up to 4 weeks of age; known or suspected hypersensitivity.

Warnings and precautions

Risk of Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF) in renal impairment. Not for intrathecal use. Potential gadolinium accumulation in brain. Risk of seizures in susceptible patients.
