How is it administered?
Adults: Start 600 mg/day BID. Increase by max 600 mg/day weekly. Target 1200-2400 mg/day. Pediatrics (6-16): Start 8-10 mg/kg/day BID. Max maintenance based on weight. Take with or without food.

Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to oxcarbazepine or eslicarbazepine acetate or to any of the components of TRILEPTAL.
Warnings and precautions
Serious hematologic (agranulocytosis, aplastic anemia) and dermatologic reactions (SJS/TEN). HLA-B*1502 screening recommended in at-risk populations. Risk of hyponatremia and suicidal ideation.
